Jobs

A dbt Job is a task or set of tasks defined on 5X Managed dbt Core™ and designed to transform and model data as required for data analytics and engineering. Jobs are a crucial and powerful solution for organizations to manage data pipelines for transformation and modelling. A job may involve tasks, like extracting, cleaning, transforming and loading data to and from the data warehouse.

5X Managed dbt Core™ enables users to run dbt jobs seamlessly on deployment environments, automating how and when to execute dbt jobs for analysis. A dbt job is deployed on deployment environments, rather than the development environment to ensure data integrity and reliability. Users deploy jobs in production using the deployment environment set up for their dbt project. A user can create jobs based on their purpose. It can be building production data assets or testing modified data models for validation before production.

Deploy dbt project using dbt Jobs on 5X Managed dbt Core™. 5X Managed dbt Core™ enables users to run dbt Jobs seamlessly on deployment or development environments to automate how and when to execute dbt Jobs for analysis.

Users can access Jobs on 5X Managed dbt Core™. The Jobs page lands on the default Current Jobs tab. 5X Managed dbt Core™ supports Deploy Job and CI Job types.
