Prerequisites

You would need a Metabase user account with Administrator access.

5X uses static IPs to connect to your MetaBase. In case your MetaBase is hosted on the cloud please make sure your firewall is configured to allow the connection from these IP addresses:

3.211.173.46

174.129.146.62

Setup

The Metabase REST API provides access to core functions such as managing user and team , workspace, connection and data, and visualization. You can create a Metabase tile and manage user access on 5X platform after configuration.

`Step One`- Enter details on 5X

Server URL

This is the URL for your Metabase server, which can be self-hosted or managed by Metabase Cloud, e.g. 5xplatform.metabase.com

Username

You can find the username in your account setting.In the profile section your email address would be prefilled. Use that as the username.

Password

This is the password for the user specified above.

In case you want to create a new user for 5X, first go to Admin settings. Go to the People Tab, Click on Invite someone and create an account with Administrator Privileges. Metabase would ask you to verify the email address post which you would be asked to create a password. Save that password for future use.
